BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Director, Business Development (Canada) -
EnerMotion has a requirement for an experienced business development professional with a unique combination of direct sales, channel sales, and business development strategies. You must be polished, with exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Insight and exposure to alternative energy and/or hybrid vehicle markets is ideal along with a proven track record identifying, qualifying, and closing sales.  Your revenue visibility, sales savvy and quota achievements in commercial markets (ideally Class 8 Heavy Trucks) is a primary focus. Career development in a high technology sector makes you a strong candidate as our product areas require technical aptitude and a firm understanding of sustainable transportation energy options (additional technology training will also be provided).

Specific Business Development initiatives include securing strategic channel/reseller partners, managing outside sales agents and coordinating investor relation/marketing programs. Experience in a public company environment would be considered a distinct advantage over other candidates. EnerMotion is developing its licensing model; as such, direct development and execution of these revenue models is required.

 

Aftermarket sales cycle varies somewhat, so experience with both long (1 year+) and short (2 months) cycles would be idea.  Sales methods are open to execution success at EnerMotion – a blend of solution sales, SPIN, or one-offs are all applicable as long as you have professional training in one or more of them. Your high level responsibilities will include:

·          Lead generation,

·          Follow up on pre-qualified leads,

·          Establishing sales processes (Salesforce.com and other CRM tools),

·          Identifying revenue streams and key strategic clients

·          Closing sales and coordinating contractual requirements

·          Creating the framework for a channel and distribution sales model along with identifying strategic partners

 

Compensation package includes an above average commission structure with unlimited earning potential along with stock option incentives for the right individual. This is a unique business development challenge for a multi-faceted sales professional who’s prepared to hunt for sales while building a revenue foundation that will lead to exceptional corporate growth. Initial markets will be focused in Ontario, travel outside the province will increase as the position and client base evolves. Travel outside North America may be a requirement for 2011 and beyond.

 

This position reports directly to EnerMotion’s President located in Bolton Ontario, Canada and is considered part of the Executive Management team.
