Business Development & Sales Executive - NEW POSITION! EnerMotion has an immediate requirement for a qualified sales person with a unique combination of direct sales, channel sales, and business development experience. You must be polished, with exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. We’re not expecting you to have hybrid electric vehicle experience, but we are expecting a proven track record identifying, qualifying, and closing sales. Insight and exposure to our industry and identified commercial markets would be a definite asset, but your sales savvy and quota achievements are our primary focus. Career development in a high technology sector makes you a strong candidate as our product areas require technical aptitude and a firm understanding of sustainable transportation energy options (additional technology training will also be provided).
The sales cycle varies along with our product areas, so experience with both long (1 year+) and short (2 months) cycles would be idea. Sales methods are open to execution success at EnerMotion – a blend of solution sales, SPIN, or one-offs are all applicable. Your high level responsibilities will include:
· Lead generation (minimal cold calling – it’s more about building lasting partnerships),
· Follow up on pre-qualified leads,
· Establishing sales processes (Salesforce.com and other CRM tools),
· Identifying revenue streams and key strategic clients
· Closing sales and coordinating contractual requirements
· Creating the framework for a channel and distribution sales model along with identifying strategic partners
· Business Development initiatives include seeking investment sources, securing strategic channel partners, coordinating marketing campaigns and outside sales agents.
Compensation package includes an above average commission structure with unlimited earning potential (first year earnings are forecasted at $122,900.00CDN, but this is expected to increase substantially into 2011), and for the right individual, an opportunity to obtain ownership in the company. This is a unique sales challenge for a multi-faceted sales professional who’s prepared to hunt for sales while building a sales foundation that will lead to exceptional corporate growth and a key management position. Initial markets will be focused in Ontario, travel outside the province will increase as the position and client base evolves. Travel outside North America may be a requirement for 2011 and beyond.
This position reports directly to EnerMotion’s President located in Bolton Ontario. Working remotely is an option for this position but pleased be prepared to put in serious hours no matter where your base is. EnerMotion’s Research & Development facility in Bolton Ontario Canada requires an Electrical Systems Engineer for work on several exciting projects. If you’re looking to apply a diverse set of engineering skills, a place where creativity is welcome and you have several years of electrical engineering experience, then EnerMotion is waiting to hear from you.
This role of Electrical Engineer is focused on power control systems; power electronics, vehicle CANBUS design/interface, vehicle drive systems and other alternative transportation and sustainable energy technologies.
The candidate MUST possess a valid degree from an accredited university in the field of electrical/electronic engineering. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience and be familiar with various international regulatory approvals such as UL, CSA, CE, etc. Experience with embedded software languages (i.e. C., PLC, HMI) and CANBUS is an asset along with 'Simulink' development.
Responsibilities
You will work with the product development team and support the systems integration group in designing advanced hybrid vehicle control systems, power electronics, and digital and analog electrical systems. You will be responsible for product specification/documentation, system design schematics, BOM content, layout design requirements, testing and validation, prototype manufacturing support and Simulink development.
Preferred Experience
Product development experience in automotive engineering and/or hybrid power control systems is highly desirable. Some project related experience in sustainable energy or alternative fuel applications and past product development to military specifications (US Mil-specs, and CDN DoD) would be considered ideal.
Skillset

A strong background in circuit design involving microprocessors, servo amps, digital I/O, high-voltage DC power distribution, and AC/DC inverters/motors

Strong practical trouble shooting experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators and other electronic test tools

You are able to prepare detailed design schematics

You are skilled in schematic capture and simulation analysis

You have experience in CCA layout design and associated design tools

You have experience with military and IPC standards for CCA design

Allegro, Mentor PADS, OrCAD Capture and OrCAD PCB familiarity, PLD firmware design experience, video interface design experience, digital filters and control systems expertise, man-machine interface design experience

You are able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance and have a valid (or be able to quickly obtain) Canadian Passport (some travel may be required to customer sites for installation, commissioning, training and servicing of components).

Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, and other development programs (e.g. Labview, MATLAB)
